Life Insurance and Planning We Handle
Most people need one main policy, and some need a second piece to cover a gap. Term life insurance covers a fixed stretch of years, and it buys the most coverage for each dollar of premium. Whole life insurance and universal life insurance stay in force for life; whole life keeps the premium fixed, while universal life lets you adjust payments within limits. Final expense insurance, mortgage protection insurance and retirement income planning each solve one specific problem, and we'll tell you plainly if you don't need them.

Term Life Insurance
Level-premium coverage for a set number of years, sized to your income, debts and kids' ages, and explained by an agent before you apply.

Universal Life Insurance
Permanent coverage with premiums you can adjust, plus a clear look at how the cash value and the policy charges work over time.
Retirement Income Planning
We line up your pension, savings and Social Security, find where the monthly money runs short, and show which insurance-based options could fill the gap.
Whole Life Insurance
Permanent coverage with a premium that stays level and cash value that builds slowly, for people who want a policy that never runs out.
Final Expense Insurance
A small, permanent policy meant to pay for a funeral, burial or cremation and the last bills, so the people you leave behind are not stuck with them.
Mortgage Protection
Life coverage matched to what you owe and how long you owe it, so your family can keep paying the mortgage if you're gone.
How Getting Covered Works
Most of it happens by phone, at a pace that fits your week. Here are the steps from first call to a policy in hand.
- 1
A quick first call
We'll ask who depends on you, what you make and owe, and whether you have group coverage through work. It takes about a coffee break.
- 2
A short list of options
We present a few choices, each showing the coverage amount, the monthly premium and the length in plain terms. Take your time choosing.
- 3
Applying and underwriting
After you choose, we help with the application. If an exam is required, the examiner can usually come to your workplace or another place that's convenient.
- 4
Reviewing the policy before signing
Once the policy comes in, we go through it with you, confirm who the beneficiaries are and check that it matches what you were quoted.

A Small Local Agency That Talks Straight
Life Insurance Irving is a local agency for families and business owners in Irving and the towns around it. We do one thing: help people put the right life coverage in place and understand what they bought.
We keep the talk plain. No pitch, no jargon you have to decode, no pushing a bigger policy than you need. If you're comparing a quote you got somewhere else, bring it to us and we'll tell you what it covers and what it leaves out.
What Goes Into Your Premium
Pricing on life insurance isn't hidden, but it hinges on a few key things. You control some of them and not others. Understanding them shows you where to spend and where to hold back.
A quote stays an estimate until the carrier completes underwriting. We review the final offer with you before you agree to anything.
- How old you are
- Your premium is based on your age at application. Buying sooner usually costs less, and term rates are often fixed for the whole term.
- Your health and tobacco
- Carriers review your medical history, the prescriptions you take and any tobacco or nicotine use. Some policies call for a brief exam. Others rely on health questions alone and usually charge more for equal coverage.
- The coverage amount
- More coverage costs more. We base the amount on real figures, such as the income to replace, your debts and expenses ahead, so you're not paying for a guess.
- How long it lasts
- A shorter term is cheaper. Fixing a rate for thirty years costs more per month than fixing it for ten. Whole life and universal life cost more again, because they don't expire and they build cash value.
- Riders on the policy
- Add-ons such as a child rider, waiver of premium or an accelerated benefit for serious illness raise the price. We explain each so you pay only for the ones you'll use.

What Working With Us Looks Like
A smaller policy you hold onto beats a large one you cancel in two years. Here's how that plays out.
Questions come first
We find out who relies on your income, what you owe and what you want protected before we name an amount. A quote based on guesses doesn't help you.
Every cost laid out early
We review the premium, coverage amount, policy length and any riders before you apply. If underwriting changes a number, we explain why.
A straight answer on the type of policy
Term life by itself works for a lot of families. If whole life or universal life fits you, we'll tell you why in plain words. If not, we'll tell you that too.
Careful beneficiary setup
The plan only works if the money reaches the people you chose. We review primary and contingent beneficiaries with you name by name and catch common mistakes like naming a minor child directly.
We keep in touch
A marriage, a new child, starting a business or paying off a large loan changes what your family would need. When that happens, give us a call and we'll check whether your policy still fits.
What Clients Want to Know
Something not covered here? (972) 419-8565
How much coverage is right for me?
Imagine your paycheck disappeared tomorrow. Figure how many years of income your family would want replaced, add what you owe on things like a mortgage or car, and add big costs coming up such as college. Subtract savings and any work coverage. We'll run those numbers with you on the first call.
Is term life or whole life the better pick?
Term life runs for a fixed stretch, such as 20 years, and costs far less. Whole life lasts as long as you do and builds cash value, at a higher premium. Families with young children and a mortgage are often well served by term. Whole life makes more sense when you want coverage that never ends or have estate plans.
Doesn't my employer's life insurance cover it?
It's useful, but it's often worth just a year or two of pay, and it usually stops if you quit or are let go. Most families want a policy of their own as well, so their coverage isn't tied to one job.
Will I need a medical exam?
Not in every case. Some policies use health questions only, and final expense coverage often has no exam at all. Policies that include an exam tend to cost less for the same amount. We'll point you to the route that suits your age and health.
Can I get covered with a health condition?
Plenty of people with high blood pressure, diabetes and similar conditions still qualify. Your rate depends on how well it's controlled. Share the details early so we can steer you to the right type of policy and avoid surprises during underwriting.
Am I able to switch my beneficiary later on?
Yes. Most policies let you change it whenever you like by sending the carrier a form. Take another look any time your family changes, whether through a marriage, a divorce, a birth or a death. Call us and we'll help with the form and make sure the carrier has the update on file.
What is mortgage protection insurance for?
It's life coverage built to pay off your mortgage, or keep the payments going, if you die, so your family can stay in the home. We'll set it next to a regular term policy, because term life sometimes does the same job for less.

Let's Get Your Family Covered
One phone call is enough to find out what you need and what it would cost. We'll keep it short and plain, with no pressure to buy.
