Whole Life Insurance in Irving
Whole life stays in force for the rest of your life as long as the premiums are paid. Your payment is locked in on day one, and the policy builds cash value you can tap later. We show you the full cost and what you get, then you make the call.
How whole life works and who it suits
Whole life is permanent coverage. As long as the premium is paid, it doesn't expire, and your beneficiary is paid whether you die at 60 or 95. The price is set at the start, so reaching 50 or 70 doesn't raise what you pay.
Part of each premium builds cash value inside the policy. It grows slowly at first and faster in later years. You can borrow against it or surrender the policy for cash, but both reduce what your family receives.
Whole life costs more than term life for the same coverage. That's the honest tradeoff. Many families do fine with term through their working years. Whole life is worth the price when the need is permanent: support for a child with special needs, money to settle an estate, or a spouse who needs coverage whenever you die.
What you get when we set up a policy
A look at what you need first
We start with your debts, income, family and goals. Then we size the policy to those numbers, not to the biggest premium you might pay.
Whole life next to term, side by side
We show you what the same coverage costs as whole life and as term life. You see the difference in dollars before you pick.
Cash value shown year by year
We walk through the illustration so you know what the cash value is projected to be at 10, 20 and 30 years. We point out which numbers the contract sets and which depend on dividends that are not promised.
Beneficiary wording checked
We help you choose who gets paid first and who is next in line, then read the wording with you. A vague name or an outdated choice can delay the money or push it through probate.
Riders explained in plain words
Waiver of premium, paid-up additions and accelerated benefits each cost something. We tell you what each one does so you only add the ones you would use.
Signs whole life may be right for you
You want coverage past age 80
Term policies end, and renewing late in life gets very expensive. Whole life stays in force for your whole life.
A loved one will always rely on you
An adult child with a disability, or a spouse who never earned an income, may count on you for good. Permanent coverage keeps that support going after you are gone.
You want a premium that never changes
Some people like knowing the bill at 75 is the same as the bill at 45. Whole life locks that in.
You already save steadily and want another option
If you have maxed out other savings and still have room in the budget, cash value can be one more place to set money aside. It is not a replacement for retirement accounts, and we will say so.
You have a specific gift in mind
Maybe it is a sum for the grandkids or a gift to your church. Whole life fixes that amount when the policy starts, so everyone knows what to expect.

Underwriting and the decision
The insurer reviews your medical records and history, which takes a few weeks. We call when there's an update so you always know where it stands.
- 5
Going over the policy with you
After it's issued, we read the policy with you page by page. You also have a free-look window to cancel, and we explain how that works.
Why one whole life quote differs from another
No two whole life quotes come out the same. The price comes from your age and health, and from the choices you make about the policy. We put every number in writing so you know the total over the years before you sign.
- Your age when you start
- The younger you are, the lower the level premium. Waiting five years can raise it a lot.
- Health and tobacco use
- Your health class sets much of the price. Smokers pay far more than non-smokers.
- Coverage amount
- A bigger death benefit means a bigger premium. We help you pick an amount you can keep paying for decades.
- How long you pay
- You can pay for life or pay it off in 10 or 20 years. Shorter pay periods mean higher payments now and none later.
- Riders you add
- Each rider adds to the premium. We only suggest ones that match a real need.
Common whole life questions
Something not covered here? (972) 419-8565
Does whole life work as an investment?
See it as coverage with a bit of savings, not savings with coverage. Cash value grows slowly and steadily, and over decades most people earn more in a 401(k) or IRA. Buy whole life for lifelong coverage, and turn to retirement income planning for your main savings.
What if I quit paying the premium?
There are usually choices. The cash value can keep a smaller paid-up policy going, keep full coverage for a limited time, or be taken as cash when you surrender. Cash value may be small in the early years, so we cover this before you buy.
Can I take a loan from the policy?
Yes, once some cash value has built up. The insurer charges interest, and whatever is still owed at your death comes out of the payout. We run the figures first so you can see how it plays out.
Is whole life or term right for me?
Many young families get more coverage for less with term. Whole life suits a need that lasts your whole life. Some clients combine the two, and we can price that for you.
Can you help if I'm outside Irving?
Yes. Our clients live in Irving and nearby towns such as Coppell, Grapevine and Grand Prairie, and most of the work is done by phone.
